How the RED-P1 sizes land on the taper

The names match nominal capacity. Usable runs 5% lower, which keeps two sizes just inside a band: the RED-P1 14 (13.3 kWh) stays in the full-factor band, and the RED-P1 28 (26.6 kWh) stays under 28 kWh, where the 60% band ends.

The RED-P1 35 is the first size to reach the 15% band, with 5.25 kWh there, so its step adds well under half of what the step from 21 to 28 did.

The RED-P1 listing (BAT-927) runs to 31 December 2027.

Other Redback batteries on the list

Redback has three battery families listed, all at 95% usable: the high-voltage RED-P1 on this page and two low-voltage units, the RED-R1 (4.86 kWh usable) and the RED-R2 (15.2 kWh usable).

Before you sign for a RED-P1

  • Check the quote shows the usable capacity (13.3, 19.95, 26.6 or 33.25 kWh), not the 14, 21, 28 or 35 in the model name.
  • Redback also lists the RED-R1 and RED-R2 low-voltage batteries; if you are quoted one of those, its figures are different.
