Enphase IQ Battery 5P rebate
Checked against the approved list
1 × IQ Battery 5P, the smallest listed size
Waiting past 31 Dec 2026 costs $240
With 5 kWh units, the IQ Battery 5P lets you stop where the rebate rate drops: two units collect the full rate on every kilowatt-hour, and a third still earns nearly as much. For installs after October, check that the quote names the FlexPhase model.

How the IQ Battery 5P sizes land on the taper
Each unit is listed at 5 kWh nominal and 5 kWh usable. Two units give 10 kWh and three give 15 kWh; units installed together in one job count as one battery system for the rebate.
With one or two units, the whole capacity earns the full factor. The third unit crosses 14 kWh, so 4 kWh of it earns the full factor and 1 kWh earns 60%. A fourth unit earns 60% throughout.
Two listings exist. The original IQ Battery 5P (certificate BAT-404) is listed until 29 October 2026, so units certified after that date need the FlexPhase model (BAT-646, listed until 31 December 2027) unless the original listing is renewed. The table uses the FlexPhase listing.
Other Enphase batteries on the list
Enphase lists only the IQ Battery 5P in Australia: one original model and ten FlexPhase variants that differ by inverter output (1.65 to 3.84 kW) and phase, every one at 5 kWh usable. Whichever variant the installer fits, each unit earns the same certificates.
Before you sign for a IQ Battery 5P
- Check the model on the quote starts IQBATTERY-5P (the FlexPhase version). The original IQ Battery 5P, model B05-T02, is listed only until 29 October 2026.
- Each unit is 5 kWh usable, so the rebate is easy to check: two units should show the same certificates as any other 10 kWh-usable battery.
- Units added later only qualify if the first ones never claimed the discount, so plan the number of units before the first install.
